After the Granny Tax, Pasty Tax and other budget mishaps, it’s likely that David Cameron will force another budget u-turn, this time on donations to charities. Charities are up in arms about changes in the budget supposedly designed to reduce tax avoidance by the wealthy but which in the end will cap donations to charities loosing them millions. This and the other budget fiascos just shows how little attention George Osborne paid to the detail of his budget. Watch for another budget u-turn soon.
